Spent the day with my brother - after scootin' around the West Side in his porche with the top down (oh yeah), came back to hang out at the house, have a swim in the pool... 'twas a sweet day.

This is part of the back yard, looking up from the patio:

And I couldn't resist some doggy portraits:

77/365 A picture NOT of Hugh!

I find this to be a much more, um, inspiring, and um, artistic, um, photo... than the actors on stage.
Un braccio bello forte cui di morsicchiare...

76/365

Spent the day at Disneyland with my brother and my two nephews, Justin (13) and Jason (9).

My brother, not happy at the moment, as he's just realized that not only did he leave his wallet in his car (at my house), but put no disk in his video camera.
(but I got Justin to smile, so YAY!!!)

Main Street

The forbidden picture. Inside Pirates of the Caribbean; some guy in front was taking flash pictures and I thought "Hmmm, I didn't think those were allowed." So I whipped out my camera, took this one, then a voice came over the ride saying "Please do not take flash photography inside the ride."
I KNEW IT!

Jason, unkowingly being filmed, giving his analysis of the day so far.

Justin, after he refused to smile for a photo, giving his brief analysis:

So camera shy!

76 again...

Definitely not flattering, but fun!

Carried my little digital around all afternoon... and took no pictures.

Lest we all thought the house was near completion, mom decided to put in a new sink (originally we were going to re-glaze the old one). Oh, and if we're putting in a new sink, why not just replace the tile... if it can be replaced (the trim, if not all the tile, is original from 1936... though it's been regrouted many times)

*sigh*
I know I'll appreciate it ALL when it's DONE. But when is DONE????
I am over workmen showing up late, leaving for a three hour lunch, then leaving the ominous odor of their hard work behind... :)

74/365

I promise to stop 'cheating' and get back to every day!
I was hoping for something more interesting to post; I went to my teacher's other class to take photos, and aside from a very nice looking gent in the class ;), it was a discussion night, so there was no scenework and alas, no actors in action.
Instead, they took turns reading quotes on stage and then discussing them. This fellow's t-shirt had to be discussed before any quotes could be read though!

73/365 Happy FOURTH!

Went to a fun 'hometown' parade this morning, now off to Laguna.
I've never been more excited about 4th of July, as there is no better place for me to be than on the deck in Laguna, having a beer and fried chicken while watching the fireworks, and hearing everyone along the hillside together saying "oooh, ahhhh".
4th of July and Thanksgiving were my two hardest holidays being away in England. So today I am THRILLED to be home!!

More pics from the parade and 3-legged races here:

Spent the afternoon taking headshots of my headshot photographer...Turns out... I'm pretty good! No retouching or cropping on the above!!

Thought I'd have some fun in Photoshop with this one, but still... no retouching or cropping needed!

Thanks Matt!
