Through a classmate who does PR and marketing, I was given the opportunity to take photos at a (semi) star-studded party she was producing, hosted by Nancy Cartwright (the voice of Bart Simpson). I was MUCH more intimidated than I thought I would be (or should have been, no doubt), which was not helped by the fact my camera is now acting up, and I can only pray they believe me that I've never dropped it if I need to replace it.
Also most were taken over the shoulder of THE professional photographer, so most of the people were looking into his camera, not mine (they wanted to go into the party, and I didn't feel right about making them stand there for me as well after they'd done it for him... perhaps I should have. Again, I wasn't sure if the camera would want to work or not; it was hit and miss.
